You Can be Extremely Successful. Here’s how

The deliberate pursuit of success is so commonplace today that success feels more like a need than a want. People chase success at all cost and by any means.
While at this, some succeed, others don’t. But, to the bulk of these people, extreme success is rare. This is because a lot of people don’t know how to get there.

Truth is: Every one is capable of achieving success but success itself is a loose term as what it means to one person could be way different from what it does to another.

Also going beyond that to the point of extreme success requires something more than the everyday recipe for success. However, extreme success is still attainable. Below is a recipe you can use to cook it.

1. Effective Listening

“The Art of effective listening is essential to clear communication, and clear communication is necessary to management success.” – James Cash Penney

Whether to other humans or objects, effective listening distinguishes you among other people. A good listener doesn’t listen only to respond. Effective listening helps you identify opportunities to go after. This is why it is the foremost differentiating factor among successful people. To reach extreme success levels you need to listen effectively.

2. Define success

Define success on your own terms, achieve it by your own rules and build a life you’re proud to live.” – Anne Sweeney

First things first, before you can even begin to talk about success you need to define it. You must decide what the word success mean to you. To do this write down what you want to achieve and let it be your guide as you journey onwards. It’s simple – be the one who decides what success is to you and not following some people’s Standards. Simply put – Change your yardsticks for measuring success and you’d be happier. Remember it’s never fair to compare!

3. Plan ahead

“A good plan is like a road map: it shows the final destination and usually the best way to get there.” – H. Stanely Judd

Knowing what you want is not enough you need to plan ahead of it. Extremely successful people don’t go into anything without first planning on how they’re going to do it. Indeed, the place of preparation in success cannot be overemphasized. Success is usually a product of preparation. Whether or not an attempt is successful depends heavily on the amount of preparation put into it. Also, whether on a physical, mental or emotional trip you need to prepare ahead before you can take off else your destination can’t be assured.

4. Take Actions

The path to success is to take massive, determined actions.” – Tony Robbins

Taking action is a leap beyond listening, deciding and planning. It involves doing. The only way to do something is by doing it and there are no two ways about it. Taking action rewards you with attained goals, fulfilment, progress and confidence. Start taking action now! One action is far better than tons of intentions. Do yourself a favour take action now!

5. Repeat

Success is neither magical nor mysterious. Success is the natural consequence of consistently applying basic fundamentals.” – Jim Rohn

Extremely successful people succeed ultimately by being continually consistent. Getting to the extreme point of success involves succeeding daily. You must refuse to yield to the false sense of conquest that winning every single time gives. Set out to do more, every day. Be committed to winning more battles. This way alone would you continuously stay at the zenith.

Ending Notes

With these ingredients and through this process you too can get to the highest point.

Finally I’d leave you with this:

Success doesn’t come from what you do occasionally, it comes from what you do consistently.” – Marie Forleo
