The 21st century human being is an ever engaged being;
A busy bee or better still a buzzing being.
To him the 24 hour day is grossly inadequate and thus he always has tons of undone tasks.
This causes him to undermine his efforts. “I’m not doing enough!” he asserts.
The truth is, we all want to do more, be more and have more. In short, we crave increased productivity.
To be more productive you need to literally do more. Great, this is why you pick at several tasks.
The’s something about achieving any task, succeeding over any hurdle or beating any Target. As long as you don’t do it – it doesn’t get done. It remains just another item on your task list.
It is true that for many people there’s nothing more daunting than starting out at a task.
It’s spoken about frequently whenever writers meet.
You’ve heard of it or might’ve even experienced it.
Some believe it’s not real but just a creation of lazy writers.
Others claim it happens; that it comes and sucks up their zeal leaving them practically word-less and to some extent with no idea!
Today is the International Day for happiness. The day was set aside by the United Nations Organization (UNO) in 2012.
In commemoration of the day, I present you these forty (40), sorry thirty-nine plus one (39+1) quotes on the subject of happiness. Enjoy!
There is this certain surge by people today to live a life of purpose. To answer a call to their life’s work (vocation). This increased interest is well reflected in the increasing amount of publications on this subject in recent years. Some of these include Jeff Goins’Art of work, Frances Okoro’s10 steps to walking in purpose, Daniel Nicolas’Innate Abilities, Wilson Biyama’s Purpose, the ultimate pursuit and a host of others. The list is endless. All these are geared towards teaching people to walk in purpose; to live for a cause; to live a life that is worth the days you’ve got; to making your life count.
I know these books had taught you a lot about this subject.
But, the question remains: how exactly do you make your life count? What is the nitty-gritty involved in making your life count?
Well, this post would tell you about a basic truth about this subject.
You face this every day. The need to be confident in confronting your problems stand tall among prerequisites for success. You are challenged to chuck off fear and build your confidence. However, the bugging question in this is: how do you do that? How do you gain confidence?
In this post I’d share with you five techniques for developing your self-confidence. Continue reading →
Everybody out there is busy wishing. Wishing that 2016 goes successfully, that they get this and that and other cool stuff. Wishing is very good it indicates hope and life.
But, I want you to see 2016 in another way. In a whole New Perspective.
A New Perspective.
I want you to view the year 2016 as a new book containing 366 pages. You decide what you write on each of those pages. To make 2016 a successful year you need to see each moment as an opportunity. Begin to see the goldmine in every second. Kayode Ajomole of Decounsellor would say “you need to wear an opportunity lens”. The way you look at everyday circumstances determines the way you think about them, the way you act towards them and thus your attitude.
I would like you to remember to :
Set A goal for 2016 for he who fails to plan, plans to fail.
Schedule your tasks to save time.
Prioritize your tasks to save resources.
Be happy and
Additionally, you should tag the year – it’s cool. For instance I call 2016
“My year of Multiple Distinctions, Divine Breakthroughs and Continued Excellence.”
I know you’ve heard a lot about note taking. It’s in your Secondary or high school and college or university curriculum, it is been spoken about in different writers’ interactions. But please hear me out.
I’ve not always been a fan of writing on the go. I prefer sitting down fully concentrating on the piece am writing but guess what I found out of recent?
In my little stay on earth, I’ve come to notice that many people are in the habit of imitating just everything they do. They imitate Mr. A’s dressing, imitate Mr. B’s walking, Mr. C’s talking and . . .
It is a pity to note that many people only realize their potential when they have
already gone a long way in their life. The self discovery period is often a late comer in
the lives of most people. It marvels me when people in this 21st century still hang their
dear lives on some popular quotes like:
“Life begins at forty (40)”.
Everybody knows that this is an old charges. Today I got a new charge for
you. Ask yourself this question. Continue reading →
